“We want Dorchester County to be the best place to grow up, raise a family and retire… not just for some of us, for all of us.”
-Kevin Beverly, MDF President, born and raised in Dorchester County

At MDF, we strengthen connections and unite countywide partners around shared priorities to make a bigger difference, together.  Through initiatives like the Early Childhood Advisory Committee, Maryland ENOUGH Initiative, Homeless Coalition, and Local Care Team, MDF coordinates cross-sector solutions to improve school readiness, reduce poverty, end homelessness, and connect families to vital supports.

We put community voice and needs into motion. Through programs and groups such as the Parent Support Committee, Community Ambassadors, and Youth Ambassadors, we recruit, train, and equip residents to lead solutions that strengthen neighborhood engagement, school climate, youth belonging, career readiness, and family well-being.

We also mobilize resources from public and private funds to drive community and economic impact.
